NZ Oceanic Charters is based in the Hauraki Gulf, Auckland, New Zealand. It operates day and overnight charters around the stunning Hauraki Gulf, including destinations such as Great Barrier Island, Little Barrier Island, Hen and Chicken Islands, Mokohinau Islands and the famous Poor Knights Marine Reserve.

Comissioned by University of Auckland’s ‘Leigh Marine Laboratory’; built by Peter Parvin and team at Qualicraft in Matakana NZ, Hawere’ specification was driven by many different needs. The result is a relatively fast, multi-purpose workboat with large deck spaces, easy access to the water and accommodation facilities to service eight researchers and a professional skipper.
